The faithful are favored. Most favored people have demonstrated some form of faithfulness to the Lord. Yet, when I say favored, I don’t mean rich and famous. I mean favored. Let me share an example. Pharoah had riches galore and whatever he desired, but Moses was favored because he was able to go before this monarch who thought of himself as a deity and say, ‘Let my people go’ and still leave with his life. That’s favor. In order to have favor like that, you have got to have faith. I would say the same about David, Abraham and Nehemiah. Situations within their lives revealed God’s favor for them, especially since they had been faithful with small matters like herding sheep, holding onto God’s promises, and praying to God for others. it is out of that kind of faith that God grants favor that riches and money cannot buy.
