4 Show me Your ways, O LORD;
Teach me Your paths.
5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day. – Psalm 25:4-5 (NKJV)
“…On You I wait all the day.”
Above all else, we need to learn to have some patience with God. Yes, we can call on Him, but we have to await His answers. In whatever form He answers, we need to await those answers. Will you wait?
Will you wait all the day?
Think it over. It is not a simple commitment. The psalmist asks for the Lord to actively do some things in his life.
The psalmist is asking for God to take over. He awaits God to show the way. He holds on as God does the teaching. He submits as God leads the way. He agrees to wait on the Lord all the day. He awaits the Lord above all else.
