Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it. – Jonah 3:10

God can have a change of heart.

Just ask Jonah.  He found out all too well how God could swiftly shift from fury and anger to mercy and forgiveness.  He learned a real life lesson on how much God rewards repentance.

God had it in for Nineveh.  He was set on destroying the city and its people, but he sent a man of God to deliver His Word and reached their hearts.

If God can have a change of heart for repentant people, can you?

They have lied about the Lord , And said, “ It  is not He. Neither will evil come upon us, Nor shall we see sword or famine. And the prophets become wind, For the word is not in them. Thus shall it be done to them.” – Jeremiah 5:12-13

Prophecy can appear a bit frightening. It brings us face to face with how our misdeeds can lead to our own misery. It lets us know that the will of God comes forth no matter what we try to do to stop it or intervene.

Jeremiah shared candidly about the woes that would befall the people of God for their own disobedience and idolatry. Thus, God is not unaware of His people’s suffering, but He is focused on their repentance. He seeks them to turn their hearts toward Him once again.

Let yourself remain firmly planted in faith. Keep your head about you as things go awry. Do not lose your faith over circumstances that only God can change.

“Accept God’s will in every situation.” – Andrew Murray

In all labor there is profit, But idle chatter leads only to poverty. -Proverbs 14:23

Are you benefiting from all of your labor?

Do you see others who are blessed based on what you have done?

You may be a blessing to others beyond yourself due to all that you put into your pursuits.   It may be that God wants to use you and your hard work to serve as a blessing to other people, too.

Don’t just talk about what you may want to do.  Get busy doing what you can do.  Make moves that get you closer to making a living by doing what you love to do.

Talk is cheap as they say.  Biblically speaking, talk is worthless.  Do what you need to do to position yourself for a profitable life for you and others.
