Thank God for safety & shelter.

Giving Thanks

Read Psalm 121 in its entirety. Think about those times when you might have been down and out, when you were not at your best or on top of your game. Reflect on how God reclaimed you and restored you. Think back on how it felt to know His presence and to receive His provision, those times when you knew that you would not have made it if it had not been for His protection.

Thank God for His help during your hard times. Thank Him for everything that He provided to you. Thank Him for everything that He protected you from during those times. Take a moment and thank Him for all of the grace and mercy that He showered upon you. Let Him know how much that it meant to you to have His hedge of protection in your time of need.

Support & shop small businesses today. Whether it be at a local farmers market or through a small business website for online shopping. Help end the effects of coronavirus on the small and minority business owners that have been able to keep things together. Black business owners need help, women-owned businesses need help. Veteran-owned and operated businesses are in need of help. Do what you can and make Small Business Saturday a staple as we shop small and buy local.

Go Beyond the Norm

Deliver leftovers to a needy family within your church or community. If you have leftover turkey and trimmings, you might be in a position to help somebody else out and offer them something that you might be looking to toss out come Sunday. Ask your pastor or a church elder. Check with the principal or counselor at your child’s school. Look into it and see who might be willing to accept some care packages of homemade cooking, especially if it is enough to feed a family or two.
