Broken People

Broken people present a unique ministry opportunity.  In many cases, whether it be a prison ministry or a support circle, your ministry can provide the necessary strengthening for a person who is living on the edge and the brink of destruction.  We see people’s lives turned around for the better by what they gain out of ministries that build up people in the Word of God and living according to its standards.  There are shelters and missions that provide housing and support services led by volunteers and staff.  There are small groups and fellowship ministries like AMEN and Celebrate Recovery as well as Victory Outreach and Set Free.  It’s not that these ministries simply exist.  They exist with the distinct purpose of helping people live changed lives.  Jesus was considered “unclean” for hanging out with tax collectors and sinners (Luke 15:1-2).  In a modern context, Jesus would dine and break bread with the junkies, addicts, and street people, the scumof the earth.  Who will your ministry be known for touching, helping them make a serious change in their life? Think about it.
